UK Streamlines Visa Process in Vietnam

A new three-step nonimmigrant visa application process will see visas completed within seven working days, the British Embassy in Vietnam said in a statement on Tuesday.

But they also recommend that all applicants should start the process online at least two weeks before they plan to travel.

Beginning March 2, all UK visa applications in Vietnam will be processed at the British Embassy in Bangkok as part of a program to have all UK visas processed at regional hubs, rather than at each specific locality. However, the British diplomatic mission in Vietnam will no longer have the ability to arrange visas on short notice.

The changes come as part of a global initiative to streamline visa processing to help UK diplomatic missions meet increasing demand.
